Description of our ideas

Once we had been told the required elements for our preliminary task we had a brainstorm about ideas in which, we could use. We wanted to think outside the box so we have decided to use the genre of sci-fi.  

Firstly, we decided on our story line so that we could adapt the requirements to this including the 180 degree rule, shot reverse shot and match on action. We came up with the idea of a character delivering a mysterious briefcase to another character. As we were using the genre of sci-fi the characters we wanted to use were sophisticated aliens. To make our film totally sci-fi we have decided to create our own language for our characters to speak and we want to have subtitles on the screen when we come to edit it.  We only want to have two characters in our film. One of the characters we have decided to use will be an alien space leader and we have decided to call him Master Zorg. We want to use a bald cap to add to the mysteriousness of the character and to make him look more like a sci-fi character. Our second character will be an alien type secretary character to Master Zorg, we are going to name her Magtina. She will be the character that will deliver the mysterious briefcase to him. 

To include the match on action in our film we are going to use this when the alien character enters the room through a door. Our shot reverse shot is going to be used while the characters are exchanging dialogue and the 180 degree rule is going to be used throughout on the left side of the setting/characters.
